Below is your checklist for getting started with us!
Quickbooks Workforce
All time tracking, submittal, and payments are through Quickbooks Workforce.
Account creation are by invite link only but you may access Quickbooks Workforce.
Complete the New Employee Intake Form.
Complete the JWS Employee I-9 Submittal Form.
Shortly after submitting the New Employee Intake Form, you will receive an invite to create a Quickbooks WorkForce account. This account will set up your payment method and will house your documentation. You can not be paid until this account has been created.
We create a calendar invite for all calls. Please ensure you’ve accepted the call and have looked over the information in the notes section of the invite.
After working the call, complete the JWS Invoice Submittal form. We try to set up payment next day. If you haven’t heard from us within 3 business days, let us know and we will schedule it!

If you want to check your previous payment history or download any documentation, you can find it all within your Quickbook account. Tax information will be sent to the address(es) there.
WHERE TO GO
Our Work Calls typically have three location types:
Shop Calls: For directions to the shop, see Getting to the Studio.
Install Calls: The address will be located in your Calendar Invite. Please check the notes section for additional information regarding exact venue and other pertinent details.
Driver Calls: Locations will be listed in the notes section of your Calendar Invite. You will find information about your pickup/drop off location and any other stops you will be making. For more specific Driving Call questions look here.

All Calls
everyone shall always be treated with respect regardless of race, color, sex, gender, sexual preferences, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin.
hourly employees will be punctual and ready to work for the call time. If running late, they will let the crew lead as soon as they know and will make up any missed time either by shortening meal break or staying later.
breaks are a break - work stops for all breaks. contractors will be punctual when break is over and ready to work.
We believe in honest, direct communication — and that starts within our team. If a concern or issue comes up, it should be brought to Josh Warner, the Studio Manager, or the Project Lead, but never to the client. By keeping internal matters in-house, we maintain professionalism, protect trust, and ensure a unified client experience.
Shop Calls
minimum hours for a call: none
breaks: take as you need, at good stopping points of your project.
meal breaks: for every 8 hour call, you may take a 1 hour unpaid meal break or 30 minute paid break.
travel not reimbursed to our studio.
parking will not be reimbursed nor will ticket violations.
On Site Calls
minimum hours for an on-site call: 4 hour minimum
minimum hours for a driving call: none
coffee breaks: one 15 minute coffee break every 3 hours
meal breaks: 1 hour unpaid. meals not provided on-site.
overtime: excess of 40 hours per week = 1-1/2 hourly rate OR between the hours of midnight and 5am OR on a federal holiday
travel reimbursement: if location is outside of New York City (the five boroughs) travel will either be provided or reimbursed. unless otherwise noted, travel will not be reimbursed. travel time is not included in the working hours.
